Can't believe it but the rear sway bar is snapped in two on my 4th gen. The family drives this truck so I need to replace it. Any suggestions for aftermarket updgrades? I have a ToyTec 2" lift in the rear and thus I'm looking at sway bar relocation brakects and possibly longer rear link arms. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

While installing the Boss kit one of the rear sway bar brackets broke off. I have yet to replace the rear sway bar and after 5k miles I haven't noticed any difference.
I haven't driven any different than I did before the lift/minus the rear sway bar.

Still don't understand how these rear ones are breaking in half. I would think the links would go before the bar does in that particular case.

the links are in tension (the heim/bearing takes most of the lateral sheer force) and the bar itself is in torsion (trying to twist). Generally speaking items have higher yield values in tension than torsion. Also most bars have rusted/ rotted areas which weakens their material properties to the point where they become the weak link in the sway bar setup... one good articulation can easily snap a sway bar (fatigue failure of a detoriated, hollow metal tube under torsion isn't unexpected from an engineering standpoint).
Especially if the truck is lifted. When I put extended links on mine, the stock ones literally shattered when I tried to remove them because of the stress they were under from a year of 2" lift.

I was under my wife's rig this weekend replacing a bent LCA and discovered that the rear sway on it is also snapped in two right in the middle. The broken ends are pretty rusty so I'd imagine it has been snapped for a while and I never noticed it because it sits directly above the diff.
Honestly I'm thinking about removing it completely. The vehicle doesn't handle bad at all currently. I'd imagine the XREAS has something to do with that. The body roll is very minimal for an SUV.

was under my vehicle a couple of months ago...and discovered mine broken too...haven t bothered changing them out, dont think i will......
