Rear Track Bar replacement/upgrade

The mechanic who tracked down my electrical problem told me I have a broken rear track bar. I am not familiar with and I think it is called something else in the service manual. Is this the part he is talking about?

I haven't put a lift in yet, but I was planning to after I fix a few other problems. Will this trac bar be a good replacement until I can purchase the Sonoran Steel 1.2 Lift kit? Will it fit on a stock height 4Runner?

I don't think you would want to put in the SS track bar on a stock suspension. That piece is designed for a 3" lift, so if you put it on now it would throw off your suspension geometry. If I were in your position I would hit the junk yard for a cheap replacement and continue saving for the 1.2 kit, which happens to come with that bar.

Is it the Panhard bar your referring to?
Or the rear seat bar?

I don't think you would want to put in the SS track bar on a stock suspension. That piece is designed for a 3" lift, so if you put it on now it would throw off your suspension geometry. If I were in your position I would hit the junk yard for a cheap replacement and continue saving for the 1.2 kit, which happens to come with that bar.

You can use that trac bar. The whole point of it is that it is adjustable. Just set it for 0" of lift for now. Then when you get a lift installed, adjust it for your new lift height.

I have an OEM Panhard bar I could sell you cheap. Do you have a picture of this "break? Curious to see it. (and want to make sure we're all talking about the right thing and maybe not your rear control arms)

I have one of the sonoran's and it is shorter than stock fully threaded in and adjusts plently. I have 891 Springs in the rear and there's plenty of threads left. Great item, go ahead and do yourself a favor and just get it if you plan on lifting. Why buy twice right?

^^^^ I agree, just go ahead and get the SS bar, he sends info with it telling you where to adjust the bar out too so it's compatible with your level of left
