Rear view mirror

Question - I have the rear view mirror that "auto tints" when bright lights are behind me but ever since I purchased it a week ago, the mirror has been stuck on the tinted color. I took it to the shop to get some maintenance done and when I got it back today, the mirror isn't tinted anymore. Is there a switch to turn this feature off and/or on?

what makes you think it is an auto dimming mirror?

Because during the day, it's like a normal mirror and at when it gets dark, the mirror appears to have a green tint to it. It darkens at night.

I have never seen a 3rd gen with an auto dimming mirror. Other manufactures and aftermarket mirrors usually have a switch on the mirror itself.

I'll have to wait until I get it back - it's in the shop getting a new paint job. It has a wire running from the back into the overhead, and it has a small hole at the top center of the mirror that detects light. There are no buttons on it though, to shut it off. =(
