Rear Wheel Alignment

I noticed slight pull and outside tread wear on left rear tire. Should I get 4 wheel alignment for my 2004 SE? Is it possible to align rear tires independently on solid axle?

No, it is impossible to perform a 4 wheel alignment on your 4Runner.

If you bring it to a shop and they tell you that they can do it, walk away.... because they are full of BS. There are no wheel alignment adjustments on a solid rear axle.

I was wondering about that when I read this thread earlier today. I have owned two Ford trucks and three Mustangs and every shop said that the best you could do was a "thrust angle" alignment on most rear-wheel-drive vehicles.

I was told that the only rear-drivers which could be adjusted were ones with independent rear suspensions (such as Corvettes, BMWs, late-model Cobras, etc., etc.) where there was the little thing that looks like a universal joint on each side.

Nice to have my suspicions reinforced, though.
