rear window mod?

anyone know if there is a way to add and auto up function for the back window? either on the remote or on the switch inside the car?

Yeah, it can be done. I have done it, though it isn't working at the moment...

You can check out my build thread in my sig for what I did. I did it on both the rear hatch window and the sunroof. Unfortunately, neither is working at the moment, the rear I am not sure why, and the sunroof because my trigger module fried. I am in the process of considering a different trigger mechanism, so stay tuned to my build thread for details once I figure that out.

No, the window works just like normal, it's just the auto up function that I added isn't working. I had to throw the hatch back together real quick to help a friend move, so I wasn't super careful about putting it back together. I probably pulled a wire out of somewhere.

I am going to make my own trigger module as the TR7's I used aren't exactly what I wanted. They do work though. I'll post it in my build thread when I get it done.

No to dissuade you from pursuing the remote-up feature, I just thought I'd throw it out there that if you put your key into the tailgate and hold it to the right, the window will roll up. Obviously, it's not as convenient as a remote option, but definitely better than crawling into the driver seat and holding down the button.

Yeah I know that part I'm just looking for the auto up so I don't have to hold the button down when I want it closed. Or if I'm grabbing something out of the back I just want to hit the key don and walk away. What can I say I'm lazy.

Yeah, I don't want to stand there hold the key to the right like ass. That's for asses. I think what I am going to go for is to add auto up when turning the key to the right twice, or clicking the up button on the dash twice.

I need to do a bit more research on adding that functionality to the remote. The 2 clicks on the key and button should be easy.
