rear window problem lame

ok so i took the top off my runner the other day after i put my top back on my rear window doesnt seem to work, with the key in the rear or switch up front
i put direct power to the switch from a 12v battery it made it go up and down so the motor is good what should i do now

i dont have a top on my 94 t4r but i did have a problem with rear glass,deffogger did not work and tint on window was torn so i removed it.after re-assembly window would not work it seems i had disturbed the latches on tailgate the latches are set up so you can not open glass with tailgate open.i checked latches and found one needed to be tightened.it could be the latch good luck

make sure that you put all the bolts back in place, I think it is the second from the back on the drivers side that triggers a switch so it knows that the top is on. If this bolt isn't in, it won't work.

This is most likely your problem, also check the wiring harness that reconnects the wiper motor and the washer in the rear drivers side corner.

its weird though like my wiper for the back window was never connected ever since i got it and the window has always worked
i didnt disconnect anything when i took the top off

It's probably the bolt that is used to tell if the top is off. If you consult your manual where it talks about removing the top, it lists it as 'bolt A', the window will not operate if the bolt is not installed.
