Rear Window Rolls Down On It's Own...

A few days ago I did the fuel gauge reset procedure on the runner to attempt a calibration on my gauge that shows empty after 13 gallons. Since doing so, the rear window seems to have randomly rolled itself down overnight a couple times and the odometer keeps changing itself to "Trip B."

Any ideas on what I've done?

This is the procedure I used:

1.With the ignition switch in the Off position, press and hold the trip speedometer reset button.
2. Continue pressing the reset button while turning the ignition switch to the On position.
3. Within 5 seconds of turning the ignition switch On, release the trip switch, press trip switch 3 times and on the 3rd press, hold the switch for 5 seconds. The buzzer will sound for 1 second at 800HZ.
4. After the buzzer stops, release the trip switch.
5.Press the trip switch one more time and hold for 5 seconds. Once more the buzzer will sound for 1 second at 800HZ.

I may just try disconnecting the battery and hope is resets itself back to normal.

I have no idea what you did, but where did you come up with the idea or instructions for that?! I would definitely try pulling the + cable for 30 mins put the key in the ignition and try to start it, make sure it's all dead before hooking it back up. Hopefully you didn't screw with the. Body ecu's eeprom.

It is a Toyota TSB EL010–99, meant for fuel gauge inaccuracy. The procedure should be done to re-calibrate after replacement of the circuit plate, fuel sending unit, and suction tube. I was reading in a thread that some people had done just the re-calibration and had success. Figured it couldn't hurt.

the same thing has happened to me twice. the first time i thought i had left it down inadvertently. the second time was mid winter, i came out of work to find 6-8in of snow in the back of my truck. truthfully i have no idea what caused it. i took my key fob apart to verify there wasn't anything going on with it. i finally settled on disconnecting the battery for a few hrs, hasn't happened again. good luck
