rear window washing nozzle

Whenever I spray window washer fluid out the back it comes out as a small stream of liquid and not a spray. Is this normal?

I see your vehicle is a 2003 Limited. Mine is also the same model and year.

I find the rear washer does not work as well as I would like it to but mine also comes out in a small stream, not a spray. I find the wiper is not very effective more so than the washer. Mine has acted like that since I picked my truck up from the dealer, so to me, that is normal.

On the other hand, if yours used to spray out and now it comes out in a small stream, then that would be abnormal.

sounds like the nozzle may be partially plugged. Not sure what the best way to clean this as it is most likely plugged from the inside.

You also might have a kink/leak in the washer tubing leading. I had another car that had that problem, but it was a pain in the ass to fix it so I lived with the little pee-stream of fluid. :D

I can make things easier for you. I never use the rear window washer because it messes up the lift gate. I can't stand the nasty black streaks it leaves when everything dries up. :D

I bet they made it this way because a cloud of spray might easily disperse in the wind, before making it onto the glass. A stream of fluid it seems would be more direct and effective. But that's only my guess.

I've used mine but once, but I can't recall how many streams come out. Looks like there are three ports in each of the front windshield nozzle.
