Rear Window Wont Roll Down by Inside Button...

I have an '04 4Runner which fails to respond to any presses of the rear window switch.

I can roll the window down from the remote as well as from the keyhole in the back of the T4R, but cannot control it from inside the cabin.

Any ideas on how to fix?

Also, the up and down arrows arent illuminated on the switch - only the window icon. Is that normal?

In this case I would say the switch is kaput. The illumination is correct though, the arrows don't illuminate on mine.

do any of your windows work?
I hit the window lock once and even though the rear window went down with the remote when I was loading up, when I went to close it in the car it wouldnt close... kinda scared me until i found out the problem

All my windows still roll up and down just fine, including the auto-roll down/up on the drivers.

It's just that I can't control the rear window from inside the cabin any longer.

What's the window lock, and how do I fix it?

Thanks.

Check the safety lock for the windows on the driver's door. If the lock is on (button pushed in) to prevent your passengers from opening the windows, then the rear window button also doesn't work.

ROFFL!!!!!!!!
I was just searching on here why mine wouldn't go down on my 3rd Gen.... Man, I love these kind of fixes!!!!! Damn Button!
