Rear Windshield Wipers

Is it me or does the rear windshield wipers suck on the 4runner. It doesn't wipe very well (my wiper is new) only about 70% of the area being wiped is clear of any water. Probably the worst rear windshield wiper I ever have used.

Did you get only the insert replaced or the whole "blade with the insert". Its only like $20-30 (depends on where you look). Maybe the blade is bent? Anyway, mine works great.

Also wondering if something is bent. Mine works great. Just replaced the OEM blade last year, which is amazing here in the southwest.

they do suck. it requires a slight modification to work properly.

search the site, there is a good thread that details the repair.

but, it involves removing the entire arm, and opening up the clearance between the arm and base. in stock form, it prevents the blade from putting enough pressure, or even in some instances touching the glass at all.
