Rear wiper blade not touching window during operation???

I don't know about you guys who have 3rd gens but I have to assume since I am experiencing this that some of you have had the same.

When I turn on the rear wiper it does not touch the rear window. It operates fine as far as rotation is concerned but when it comes off it's resting point there it doesn't really hit the window.

It seems to be pretty effective for wiping the air of my window but I don't really need it for that!

Any suggestions? Is it a spring that has to be changed?

Any help would be appreciated!

you most likely need a new wiper arm. jsut try bending it a bit and it might work too.

Thats what i did, and it works fine now. I think its from pulling it out when you wash the trucks rear window, over time it gets pulled on too much, bend it back where it contacts the glass, and bingo, problem solved.

Thanks to both of you for you reply...I will take the arm off, bend it back a little and clean and lube the thing up.. I hope this will solve it. Will post back to let you guys know!

Before you try bending anything, try lubricating it. When it sits in the down position for a while the joints get stiff so the spring can't move it to contact the glass. Try spraying some lubricant on the joint & moving it back and forth a bit to see if it losens up.

Mine was doing the same... bent it back into place, works fine now.
