Rear Wiper Blade Sucks!

hey does anyone know why the rear whiper dosnt touch the rear window? ive replaced the blade and still dosnt come close i think it might be the 4runner


any help?

The wiper arms, front and rear, are spring loaded inside the main arm to press the arm/blade against the glass when the arm is not in the rest position. If, when you turn on the wipers, they don't contact the glass, then you probably have a frozen pivot point in the arm assembly, or a broken spring.

hey yeah your right... i dono why i didnt just take it apart and look at it sooner... it was the pivot point was kinda stuck and rusty so i put some lub on it and wiggled it about 100 times and it finaly got loose and it contacts the glass now...

Now that it has rusted the first time, it will probably do it again unless you check and lubricate it more often. If it continues to be a problem, you may have to replace the arm eventually.
