Rear Wiper does not turn off 2006

I can't get the rear wiper to turn off other than to slightly lower the rear window. Has anybody heard of this issue?

I would look at the wiper switch internals since that's the only way to turn it on.

The same exact thing happened to my front wipers. The wiper switch was faulty and needed to be replaced.

Here is what I found:

If the rear Washer fuse is blown the rear wiper operates even with the switch off.

That's some bizzare circuitry


Does anybody know what fuse protects the lighter kit. I bought the ashtray kit so I could have two power sources bu the lighter socket stopped working. Since the lighter was not on the vehicle from factory I do not know waht fuse protects the lighter. The power outlets work fine

Good that you figured it out.

The cigarette lighter and the front power outlet are on the same circuit. Since the power outlet works, then it sounds as if the connector to the lighter came loose.
