Rear wiper intermittence

When I turn the rear wiper up one click, to what is supposed to be intermittent, it is on constantly. Then if I turn it up to constant and back to intermittent it works as expected.

Does everyone else's do that? Please tell me that it isn't some sort of "feature".

From the manual - "When Intermittent window wiper operation mode is selected, the wiper will operate a couple of times and then switch to intermittent operation"

That's what mine does, make three complete sweeps and then goes into intermittent mode.

there is this book, and i can't remember where it is located in the 4runner, but it has some mexican dudes name on it, i think his name was juser manuel or something like that (dunno know why they named that book after him but i digress) and it tells you all these fancy things about the settings in this here car. It really is cool, it even has one of them breakdowns in the front that shows which page to turn to. That juser manuel guy must have been a pretty smart cookie...

Har har har. I thought of that right after I posted. Really it's a pretty stupid function IMHO. If I say intermittent I want intermittent, don't try to be smarter than me Toyota!
