Rear Wiper Intermittent Setting

When you turn the rear wiper to intermittent setting does it do 2 full cycles and then 1/2 a cycle? I know it does a 1/2 cycle for intermittent. But, not sure if the 2 full cycles first was normal.

Yes. I just used mine this way for the first time in 4 years of ownership and it is as you describe. Until now I usually just did a couple sweeps and turned it off so I never noticed it until this week.

Flip the switch all the way to "constant-on" then quickly back to "intermittent". Skips the 2-full sweeps and goes straight to intermittent mode :)

5-second interval is a MUST IMO...

That is all

Thanks for the tip. I already changed it to 5 seconds. But, was hoping there was a way to change the initial cycles. Looks like there isn't a way.

Correct - No way to permanently disable the "first 2 full wipes" for intermittent.

For my "workaround" - I'm totally oblivious of the fact I instinctively turn it to "On" then quickly back to "Intermittent" every time I need Intermittent action. Once you do it a few times you forget you are even doing it. As long as you get from "On" to "Intermittent" without triggering the washer (or taking too long), it goes straight into intermittent mode :)

I do the same kind of instinctual workaround if my truck is holding 4th gear when not desired. Flip it to "4S" and back to "D" and it immediately gets into 5th. "5th gen problems" (lol - not problems at all!)
