Rear wiper nightmare ahhh

My 2003 4runner's arm was broken in half by someone in a parking lot.
I bought a new arm & blade. When I tried to remove the nut, to replace the arm, it would not budge. I brought it to a garage (always been honest with me.) none of their mechanics could budge it either. They thought the only fix was to buy a new motor for rear assembly.
Hmmm. Does that sounds right? Any thoughts on how to remove the nut that attaches the arm ? Thanks!

dremel, cut it off

soak it in penetrating oil like pb blaster overnight. If that doesn't work, use heat but be very careful around the paint.

I soaked mine in oil and it still did not budge. Cutting with the dremel was my only option. Be careful not to mess up the threads.

Did anyone try a gear puller? I'm getting ready to replace my arm and bought a cheap puller for the occasion since I couldn't get it off. I haven't tried it out yet though.

used pb, heat, pb, heat....it took a long time to get it off.

Just replaced mine. My cheap $10 gear puller popped it right off. No problem.
