Reasonable asking price for my 4Runner

Thanks, that is kind of what I was looking for information wise. Was it basically stock?

You should be able to sell that truck in the South. Up where the snow falls, 2wd resale value is minimal.
The mileage is low and the truck looks very clean. I would list it at $10k obo and see if anyone bites. Lots of young guys looking for an "image" truck would probably be interested.
2wd has its advantages... less repairs/fluid replace (no CV Axle, no transfer case, no front diff, etx... simple, rugged, and reliable with ground clearance.
If you sell it you will lose lots of $. You might consider what the other guy posted and install a rear locker and a winch...

It had a few add ons but just visual stuff, I had an offer for 7k on my 01 2wd with 165k on it and turned it down as it is just very reliable and worth more to me as I could not replace it for 7k with a vehicle that runs that good and is this clean.

One thing to note.. when you buy and install mods/aftermarket parts to a vehicle... in most case it actually brings the overall value of the vehicle down.

Ya just sell it stock. That is honestly your best bet, you could still put it up for what you bought it for plus some, and then throw all that sweet crap on a 4wd 4runner. Great looking truck though, but 2 wheel drive kinda just kills it.

If your plan is to just sell it to buy another 4Runner with 4wd, I also recommend the 4wd swap. Since it's not your main vehicle you have all the time in the world to get it done. Amass the parts needed and tools, find some good write-ups and a few helping hands (if you live on a farm, you HAVE to know somebody who is handy with a wrench!) and with some time your 4Runner will now be awesome off-road.

It can't be too complicated. I've got a friend who owns an auto shop that I'm sure could help. My only concern is dumping another 2k in it.

Isn't 4Runner for '4 door runabout?' That's what I was always told.
I got a 2wd as a DD because it's an absolutely tank that I can load up for the beach, haul stuff as needed, and generally cruise around on flat-ground on/offroad. Hardly any SUVs are on a truck frame, and its one of the best looking SUVs ever made. Its an easy sell, even as a 2wd if you value quality and durability.
It's a great utility vehicle even if you don't do any harsh off-roading.

Considering that the 1st generation of T4R were only available in a 2-door configuration.. I don't think that statement is true.

In hills of Western PA 2WD SUV is just not marketable. I've noticed that in AZ where I'm from almost all the Sequoias listed on CL are 2WD while no one has them is Pittsburgh.

Makes sense, when I lived in RI, I loved my 4WD. Now the worst I get is lots of rain so the clearance is perfect.
I guess it really makes sense where you live and what you do.

I dropped the price to 11,500 which is still high but more reasonable. I've showed it to three guys in the last few days. One of which is possibly buying it this week but until I see a check I'll keep it posted.
If I don't sell it within a week or two I'm just going to pull my ads down and buy a replacement bumper with a winch and possibly put in a rear locker. I really don't think I will be able to find another runner that's in the shape mine is in.

I always took 4Runner as a play on Forerunner. As in to go ahead of the rest, lead the pack etc.

Also, if you put a winch and locker in... you're going to be itchin' to convert it to 4x4 soon enough!
