Rebate on 06 4runner

It depends where you are located. In Phoenix it is $1,000 until 7/30/06.

As the months get closer to the end of the year, the more rebates will be offered.

Go to Edmunds.com and type in your Zip code for the rebates in your area.

last month it was $1500 here in CA. However, it may have just ended. Right now, I am only seeing 1k rebates.

It was $1,000 below in AZ (as stated before). I ended up at $600 below "invoice" plus the $1,000 off. This was 3 weeks ago.

MSRP: 37049
Paid: 31765 plus TT&L

Your pricing my vary depending on where you are but...

The price ended up nearly the same as my '07 FJ Cruiser since they would only sell to me at MSRP (bought it the day of the release). At the same price, the T4R is far superior in every way (although I can't compare hard core wheeling yet).

Off-topic...WEEDO, why did you sell your FJC??

The main reason is that it was becoming a pain not having a true 4-door. I have a 3 year old and we have one on the way. Every day squeezing my daughter in and out of the back on the way to daycare was a pain. My parents live near us and we head to dinner etc a lot with them. They're in their 60's so climbing in and out of the back seat of an FJ is NOT a good thing!

The positives of the FJ is that it looks great (though so does the T4R in a different way) and it's great off road (again, same).

Other than that, the things I like more about the T4R are:
4-door
Sunroof
V8 (much, much smoother, quieter, torque, quicker (by .2 based on my GTech's)
Better seats (if you can believe that, lol)
Better stereo
Tilt steering (huge as i'm 6'3" and reaching for the FJ wheel was not comfortable)
Sliding rear window (LOVE this!)
Power front seats
Better ride/drive/steering feel, handling (XREAS, and the FJ is a "leaner")
And overall a much more expensive, quality feel or build

Vehicle for vehicle, it should be this way as the T4R was nearly $10,000 more on the MSRP. But with all the money off, and not needing to add things like "rock rails/running boards", roof rack, etc... it doesn't end up much more than a mid-level FJ.
