Rebuild engine for supercharger

I Recently found an authentic TRD supercharger off a totaled 1st gen Tacoma. I'm a friend of the salvage yards owner's son. And he said he would go as low as $600 for it. Pretty good price but the truck has 215,718 miles on it which leads me to believe that the supercharger is probably high miled... Anyways I can get the s.c rebuilt but do I need to rebuild my engine (118,000) change rings, valve seals, ect ect. Just rebuild the whole upper half w/o removing engine so a light rebuild. And what about the s. C good deal? I'm starting my second year at OSU as an automotive mechanic and I am mechanically savvy and the Tacoma suffered a rear impact

Also if the SC is the gray 1st gen unit, there are no replacement parts available.

Unless there is something wrong with your current engine, then there is no need to rebuild it. I S/Ced mine at 190K and havent had any issues

Replace the nose drive on it and change the supercharger oil before you install it. (DIY with toyota parts.)

With the engine, seafoam (put some in the oil too, marvel mystery oil works there too) then change the oil after 100 miles and replace the plugs with two step cooler plugs.

Make sure you check this site too if you want to rebuild the S/C yourself,Rolling Performance Home. your 3.4l v-6 should have a 9:5:1 compression, witch is just fine for a S/C and 7-lbs of boost, if you want more than that later on check out 5VZ Pro Short Block

They have a 9:0:1, and lower 8:5:1 that you can run higher boost with.

SC install is so easy its not worth bothering to remove it again if there is an issue. its a half day job at worse.
