Rebuild help

So decided to rebuild our 90 4runner ,22re , we had a shop do the long block . I had to reinstall it myself , i have only done this twice before in older trucks .

So i get it all together and it starts right up and holds a high idle til its warm , then the idle drops to where it should be (around 1000) and then fluctuates just a lil up and down ... and when i try to rev on it I have to do so slowly or it will splutter or backfire out the intake ... Im certain i have everything hooked up right again , and i cant figure it out .. i was thinking vacume leak , but ive found nothing ...Any Ideas ?

I set the time and the valve clearence to spec ...

I know this is stating the obvious, but its definately a timing or fuel delivery issue.
Try posting this question in the CLASSIC T4R sub forum, since your vehicle is not a 3rd gen. People who frequent there more often will be more familiar with the 22re.

ah , sorry , thought i was in the right sopt

And ya , it seems like its going to be somthing obvious , but i replaced all the injectors and cleaned all the intake really well , timing seems to be right where its supposed to be too .... so im stummped !
