Personally, I would, just do prevent having to wait. It all depends on your circumstances though.

My dealer contacted me yesterday letting me know that they are receiving a Cement Gray 4Runner with the same specs as I had selected, so I went ahead and put my deposit on that. My ETA for that now is about 2-3 weeks, so I'm pretty happy.

Left Japan 7/7 and was told it would arrive to port 7/21

I put my deposit down 6/8 but the dealer had one in allocation already and I jumped on it.
Mine made it from the port in Long Beach to Utah in about 1 week. Well ahead of the schedule we predicted.

This is good to hear. Mine is going from Long Beach to Nebraska. So it may take a bit longer but a week is not bad at all.
Hello I put a deposit down a 4runner Limited on 6/30 and sent the information of what I wanted in terms of colors for exterior and interior to the dealer. The dealer told me it could take up to 4 months to have it built. I had on no extras added on to it just the basic limited model, I didnt want running boards or third row. I'm curious how long until the build date or if they'll send me that information. So far I have heard nothing but I know it's only been two weeks, im just excited. So how long until you guys got info on your build?

I ordered a Lunar Rock TRD Pro on 6/27. It was built on 7/7 and is supposed to arrive at the Port on 7/28. Then it has to get from Oregon to Ohio after the TRD parts are installed. I don’t expect to see it until mid September at the earliest.

My TRD Off Road Premium was on the same boat as yours, same arrival date. I live about an hour away from the port. No details from the dealer yet on delivery, just "maybe next week". They said the same thing last week! The suspense is killing me
Regardless if it is a TRD Pro, it sounds like the dealer doesn't have allocation (VIN), in which case it's anyone's guess when they'll get your trim...
Put my deposit down about 3 weeks ago. It had already cleared customs at that time. Supposed to get it any day now. Been stuck at the local rail yard for 3 days.
Apparently the shortage in truck drivers is causing a small delay. Was quoted the 19th- 24th when we put the deposit down so technically still in that window.

Anyone receive any updates yet? Still, the last news I got was my 4runner landing on 7/12 in Long Beach, then nothing.
