Recent Mods (more of a build)

Well I think I am done for now. Just got finished installing rear Rancho shocks that I bought from "Manhunter". Man they wore me out trying to get the old ones off.
Anyways this is what it looked like when I got it.

Bought some wheels from a Tundra off of CL for $120.

Then I put a lift on it. Not much but I like it. 2" in the front and 1.5 in the back. Really like the spacer that I got off Ebay called the "black tuna roll". It was easy to install. Then I put a Daystar 1.5" on the back. Total was $95.

And some bigger tires. 265/70R17's. Going to try and find a pair to match the back Goodyear AT/S. I am too cheap to buy new ones right now.

Question is now.

With or without running boards?

It must be the way it is sitting or something but it is exactly 36 1/2" front and back.

Looks good!! You got those wheels for a great price. Unless you plan on doing alot of off roading...leave the running boards on.

Leave the running boards on. They look good and are functional on a truck like yours. They help balance the overall look imo.

Truck looks great! I like the wheel/lift combo. I wish I could find some Sequoia/Tundra wheels for that cheap!

I hope the shocks work out for you. If you are not planning on doing any off-roading then the running boards can be functional, but any off-roading at all, remove them. Personally I like the looks of it without running boards.

I like the boards on your truck. I say keep them unless you're actually 4-wheeling beyond the beaten path. If you're out rock crawling and dune riding, then take them off for sure.

Usually like the boards off but with yours it actually looks good with them left on. Like everyone else has been saying you can still find good in them.

By the way just curious but are you gonna tint the front windows about 18% to match the back? IMO it would look hella good then too. Glad to see another 4Runner going up with a lift of some sort. Looks pimpin'

Noooooo.....! Keep it bare or maybe add the chrome trim edge. That's my opinion. :cheers:
