Recertified catalytic converter?

Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? I'm looking at a recertified setup (two cats) for my '01; the cats have about 150k on them, they look decent from the outside (not rusted out), and they're asking $300.

I had a 2001 that had the CC's stolen and the parts were around $1300 new. $300 sounds reasonable if they are in good working condition. I was fortunate that my deductible is only $50. Thieves still them for the platinum/recycle.

Yeah, I think they're at $1300 each now - I've been secretly hoping a thief would steal them ;-)

This thing also comes with a 120-day warranty and if you register it, they bump it to a year. So, depending on what is covered by their warranty, seems like a win-win situation.

When the age of catalytic converter increases noise may come out. The best solution is to replace it. Check Magnaflow Catalytic Converters, Catalytic Converter Cost for the best aftermarket catalytic converter.
