Has anyone ever tried this type of mod on the 3rd gen?

That mod has been done on lots of 3rd gens, But as 1bad4r said its easier to search it under satoshi grill mod, but the satoshi mod guys inlay vintage T-O-Y-O-T-A letters into the grill mesh.

That looks pretty bad @$$! It gives it a modern look with retro flair!
