recharge AC on 85 4runner

So i bought a 85 4runner a while ago and one of the last things i have to do to it before im done is recharge the ac. i know how to add the ac i just dont know where to add it.

if you have to add refrigerant you have a leak. the refrigerant does not run out, go bad,etc. Soap bubbles on the fittings works great. usually its a loose fitting or a bad hose. The charge amount should be listed on a sticker under the hood. You add to the suction line (usually has a blue cap on it). Leaving a known leak in the system can cause it to run low on refrigerant oil and burn up your compressor.
 
The AC on my 84 Runner was not working when I bought it, the truck had been sitting unused for a long time.
My AC guy tested the system with a vacum pump for 30 min and there were no leaks.
So he filled it with R134 and some PAG oil and it works great, no "conversion" required.
