Recovery Bag Recomendations

I've recently built up my recovery kit, but I am in need of a great bag. I've found a few options, but I am curious what everyone else is using. Below of the three main competitors I have my eye on:

ARB Large Recovery Bag:

Viking Recovery Gear Bag M4:

Blue Ridge Overland Gear "Oh Crap, I'm Stuck":

My kit currently comprises of a 30' kinetic rope, 50' winch extension, 16' tree savor, a static recovery bridle, a few soft shackles, and of course, gloves. I am still shopping for a winch line block.

My guess is that everything I have may fit in the Viking or ARB, but I would need two Blue Ridge bags. I suppose there are pros and cons to splitting gear up. I'll end up needing a second bag anyway to keep my tire repair kit, airline hose, deflator, and hi-lift base plate.

I have abused my ARB bag (same as pictured above) for 3+ years . A side pocket where I kept a few shackles finally blew out, and one side where the main strap attaches to the bag blew out ....
other than that it's been fine .

edit: I fit nearly all my other tools and junk in this Husky bag, this thing is beefy:

We found an inexpensive and relatively heavy duty cloth tool bag at Harbor Freight that we put in my wife's Jeep with all the recovery gear (heavy gloves, winch controls, tow strap, snatch block, tree saver, air compressor, etc.)

Works well and if/when it wears out we'll just get another one.

Happened to me too, side pocket, didn't last half that time, fired off a polite inquisitive email about what happened an the warranty, ARB promptly sent me out a brand new bag. Great customer service.

Interesting, yours has a handle on the lid! That was the one thing I had requested when I reviewed the bag. Neither the original nor the replacement came with a handle, only the shoulder strap.

Another Husky recommend

I've got several of the Homer Depot Husky tool bags for use as range bags. They come in many sizes, have held up well with no problems and I don't baby them by any means. They get loaded with guns, ammo, gear and get tossed around without mercy. Plenty of interior and exterior pockets and dividers, for the price I havn't found anything better. Good kit.

Agreed. I've got at least three of these in my 4Runner right now. One with tools. Another with spare parts and fluids and the third with recovery straps and such. Also use them at work as well and haven't had a single one give out yet.

Plus they have alot of organizational benefits.
