Recurrent turn signal issue, anyone else?

I've had my 4Runner for about 10 months now and it's been relatively problem free. The only issue I've had is that my front passenger turn signal bulb keeps burning out. I've replaced it three times since I've owned it. The first two times the bulb broke apart. This last time it was close to breaking apart, you can see from the picture there's a crack in the glass.
Could it be a problem with the fuse or am I just unlucky? I don't think it's the specific bulbs I've bought because the first bulb to break was already installed when I bought it.

I had a similar issue. What solved my problem is actually checking that the new bulb was seated properly in to the socket. It took a push harder than I thought necessary to fully *CLICK* it in to position. It has been problem free for 3 months now.

Check the actual bulb socket the bulb goes into. Also is water getting into the turn signal assembly? It was kind of dumb for Toyota to put such a short vent tube in the turn signals,water can easily get into the signals.

I second this. It happened to me too.

I'll give it another shot with new bulbs and see what happens. I used gloves and gave it a solid push and felt a secure click. I compared it to the bulb on the other side the make sure they were seated in the socket the same amount.

Crossing my fingers that it works for you, only because electrical gremlins can be a PITA. Good luck Amigo.

After quickly going through several bulbs on both sides, I eventually replaced both sockets on mine. That did the trick.

had the same issues and purchased new sockets!

no issues since.

its the socket adapter that the bulb plugs into. Clean it out with contact cleaner. maybe a little dielectric grease. make sure bulb is seated properly. Or get a new socket.

Just had another bulb go out again. Time to replace the sockets.

This was my issue 100% I replaced my burnt out bulb, and not even an hour later my new one had gone out. I got the annoying super fast turn signal inside the car when I would signal left. Had this issue for about a week.

Because of your post, I just went outside and sure enough the bulb was not all the way clicked in. Thank you very much for the info!
