It ended up being G.I.G. Glen, Myself, and Shawnstcyr (Shawn). Shawn was running late, very late, lol he did meet us at the peak of Red Cone, we was Shocked, very glad ya made it.
Lets say I was wrong about this trail, I always thought it was basically a gravel road, that went up to about 12K feet, I was WRONG, it has a little bit of everything, VERY great trail.
Well heres a "teaser" pix

Good pics,I haven't doen Red Cone in my '99 yet so it'll be on my agenda soon but I did do it in my GF's '94 base Toy PU when it was new with only 1200 miles on it and she was having a few tense moments.

That was a great trip, ric! I'm glad you and Glen (and eventually, Shawn) made it! Great pics as well. I think I can still see the claw marks my wife left on the arm rest and oh sh!t handle. LOL

Ha, Ha!! I told you (in my Red Cone post), you'd be white-knuckling it at times.

This was a GREAT trip! The scenery was great and the company was even better! Runs like this remind me why I own a 4x4 and why I live in CO. It doesn't get much better than this.....

Now who's up for Radical Hill?????

It's all I can do not to go this weekend! I bought a CB, roof basket, and 2 gas cans today. No way am I not gonna have enough gas next time! Of course, getting lost and going 40 miles out of the way didn't help!:naughty:

Guys, I've got some bad news (LOL!). I was planning on running Peak 10 and Crystal Lakes by myself tomorrow. Well, I noticed on the map that it is disturbingly close to Red Cone and Radical Hill! And since I have to drive by it, I might as well drive over it, too! Guess I'm gonna have to tackle Radical Hill by myself.
I spoke to Ron Helmuth earlier tonight. He says it can't be done without lockers all the way around, and that axles have been broken there. I didn't read that when I looked at the trail. TrailDamage doesn't show it to be that bad, either. I'll let you know and post lots of pics. Looks like I'm running it 3 weekends in a row.
