Refilling a 5spd trans?

Just got the truck so Im doing some maintance on it. Going to change the trans and transfer case gear oil.
My problem is the the truck has headers on it and I cant get to the refill plug without a pump.... which I dont have.

My question is.... Im changing the shifter today also. After I take the shifter out, can I pour the gear-oil in there?

I have done it on some tremec transmissions on mustangs that way, just wondering if I can on the 4runner also.

Its a 1990 4runner 3.0 5spd 4x4

Thanks for the reply. I figured I could just wanted to make sure.
I picked up a cheap pump today so I should be covered either way. Going to knock it out tomorrow.
