There have been a lot of posts as to how to paint your factory wheels black, but I was wondering if anyone has refurbished their factory wheels to the original silver color? I have a 1998 Toyota 4Runner Limited with the 6 spoke pattern and would like to clean them up. Due to off roading and Midwest winters, the wheels have been scratched up and some rusts spots have developed. Instead of spending upwards of $1000 for new rims, has anyone sanded them down and applied a new clear coat to make them appear brand new? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with the steps as well as the products to complete this project. As always, thanks for your help!
