So I got an email from the dealership today informing me that they had request allocation of my vehicle twice and contacted Toyota's regional director several times in efforts to get the vehicle ordered, but that Toyota because is not building the color combination (Salsa Red with Sand Beige) for the Midwest region.... Now, since I'm pretty sure they build the standard colors for all regions...any idea what's going on here? I'm pretty dissappointed considering how much I like working with this dealership compared to a few of the other options in the area...

I got a similar story when talking to my dealer. Very difficult to get an exact configuration if it is not already included in the configurations being built for your region… WTF… I settled for something slightly different then what I would have normally chosen but am not too broken up about it…

I don't think they build Salsa Red Trails with tan interior. Think all the Trails have grey interior. The Trail and Sand Beige is probably the problem. If Toyota doesn't build Trails with tan interior, then no one is gonna be able to get one.

Yeh, available in SR5 and Limited, but don't think its available on the Trail, only grey interiors on the Trail.
If you're referring to my post then I just entered my zip code, 80921, into Toyota's main site. No trail editions come with beige as mentioned above but entering 80921 does allow you to at least build an SR5 with beige interior.
