relay before or after blue sea

So I picked up a 30amp relay at radio shack for my front offroad lights. Question now is, does it go between battery and blue sea OR between blue sea and switch. anyone with a clean photo of a relay hooked up with a blue sea block and wouldnt mind posting it would be awesome.

I still have to buy a Blue Sea. I like your idea of having a fuse block for additional electrical loads.

FYI Blue sea also recommends a breaker before the fuse block if I remember correctly.

hey borgzman,
here is a link to what i have. it's a 6 circuit panel. i don't plan on using more than that.....for the time being.
it's just so much easier than having a battery that looks like a bowl of pasta. Get you some #4awg wire for your + and - when you do decide to buy and hook up. it was a very easy install and is so much cleaner.

ryan, you are correct but it's just a matter of figuring out what size to put on it. I have gone to the boat supply shop several times but i think they are all on crack. 12v systems are not my thing, even after being in the electrical construction field for almost 10yrs, it still makes no sense to me. simple things kill me.
