Relays Clicking

I have a 2000 4runner. Went out Sat. morning and it would not start, the battery was dead. I heard clicking coming from under the hood. Opened the fus/relay box and pulled the headlight and tail light relays. The clicking stopped. I tried another relay in the tail lights spot but it started to click also. I jumped the car and I have brake lights. Could the relays be bad, or should I look for something else? Are the headlight and tail light relays some how connected explaining why the other relay I tried in the tail light slot also clicked?

The relays clicking are caused by your battery being low. This is normal. The reason it click is because the battery is low and the relays are not getting enough juice to them. Another reason it clicks is bacause your alarm is going off but there is not enough juice for the horn to work.

Bottom line it's normal.
