Relocate washer bottle AND add 2nd battery?

For those that have installed a dual battery - what are you doing about your washer bottle relocation? I'm trying to move the washer bottle to make room for a mount point to hold my remote reservoir on the Icon dual front shock setup (and get it out of sight since it's sitting "out in the open" after my Pelfreybilt front bumper), yet want to try and save room near the passenger side firewall for a second battery. There's a washer bottle relocation kit out there by Expedition One, but it moves the air pump back to the logical place for a 2nd battery via the Off-Grid kit.

Any help or insight appreciated. I called Icon and they said "Just find anywhere suitable to mount the bracket to hold the reservoir..." Maybe I'm trying to stuff too much under the hood?? :noidea:

Did you check the Shrockworks kit? It has a bracket that relocates both the secondary air pump and washer reservoir to the passenger side firewall, and another bracket for an aux battery up front.

You don't really need a huge durable washer bottle. Just grab a cheap generic one from an auto parts store(what I did) or junk yard and throw it somewhere there is room. Put the motor from the stock one in it.. It's not complicated at all. The stock washer bottle is huge and will hold quite a bit. The washer bottle does not need to be built like the rest of the truck LOL.

My 2011's windshield washer bottle has a massive leak due to an accident. I've searched unsuccessfully for instructions on how to remove it so I can repair it. What are the main steps for removal?

It turned out the neck was not fully inserted in the bottle (due to the accident). I didn't realize it was a 2-piece bottle. Now it no longer leaks.

But both pumps make noise and neither one shoots out water. I get the same water flow with the pump on as with it off. So I need 2 new pumps. Are the pumps alone replaceable? If so, do I just rotate them clockwise? I can rotate them about 1.8 turn clockwise then it gets harder to turn and I don't want to break anything.

Edited to add: Youtube for a Camry said just pull hard on it, so I did. Some twisting, mostly pulling. The lower one finally came out. The upper one will be harder. But now I can buy new pumps and try my luck next weekend.

My old pump is 85330-60180 and the non-OEM part is 85330-60190. The wedged ring of the 85330-60190 that has to enter the talk is slightly larger in diameter than my old part. On the other hand, I have no idea if there was any difference in diameter between the original 85330-60180 and the original 85330-60190. Does anyone here know what the difference is between these part numbers?

I suppose at this point my best option is to file down the plastic, lube it up, and try to press it in.

I was completely wrong. First, the diameter is the same. The difference between the two part numbers is the placement of two strakes on the connector. One part number is used for the rear washer pump and the other for the front washer pump. Presumably this arrangement prevents interchanging the front and rear connectors at the factory.

Having bought two of the 85330-60190 pumps I was able to razor blade the strakes off one connector so that it could mate with the connector intended for a 85330-60180 pump.

Another bizarre problem was that someone had attached the front hose inside the hood to the wrong port on the 1 to 2 hose splitter. That can-shaped splitter has a backflow valve, so you need to connect the input to the proper port or the water cannot flow.

Everything works great now.
