Relocating to Colorado

so back in the summer, i had a difficult time finding work. i ended up getting a offer to work for a small construction company with my brother who lives there. so i flew out and worked for a month. i was planning stealing my brothers 97 SR5 and going wheeling with CO4LO but it never happened.

anyway what i'm getting at is i am moving back for a while and this time i am bringing my 4runner! i will be living in Boulder and working mostly in Arvada. hopefully this time i will actually get to go wheeling with you guys. i should be getting there like the first week in January. so if you guys see a green 3rd gen with VT plates driving around, be sure to wave :driving:

i'm moving into a place on 30th and glenwood. so not really near you. but south boulder is pretty nice. i did some work on greenbriar blvd in the summer and my brother used to live on tantra dr before he moved to arvada

As a recent transplant from Arizona, I can say without prejudice, you will absolutely love it here!!!! :cowboy:

congrats on getting new job!
I love CO. I wish I could move, but unfortunately I'm stuck in the crooked state of illinois for a long time, annual trips will have to do for me.

Congrats and welcome

We'll be looking out for you and watch out for that 3rd gen Runner with only 2wheel drive up there....dude be sliding all over the place...:vader:

Hey man, welcome to Boulder! I live at 30th & Valmont, which is less than a mile down the road from you... I haven't wheeled with anyone else on the boards here, but am hoping to make some connections this spring/summer so I have some people to go with. Hope you have a safe trip out...

Do any of the CO guys have a regular forum where they hook up for wheelin' trips? Is it CO4LO?

Andy

i made it. it took about 31 hours and it was just over 2000 miles. the weather sucked. i think we went through like 4 snow storms. the runner did pretty well but there were a couple problems. in iowa, i started getting like 11 mpg and a CEL came on and my reader returned P0171 which is system lean and a P1130 which is the front wideband O2 sensor. i got some sensor cleaner and cleaned the MAF. it went up to 17 mpg after that and the system lean code went away but the O2 sensor came back. not exactly sure what happened there but i think i see a new O2 sensor in my future. so after i took care of that (i guess?), apparently my patch for the rust hole on my rear diff cover decided to let go and i lost a bunch of oil and didn't catch it in time. so now i suspect my pinion bearing is shot because it howls loudly when i let off the gas. :ybrick: so..anyone know where i can get a 4.10 diff?...actually..i might as well just get a whole axle so i don't have to deal with the rust again:repuke:

I was just saying I think I would love Co. I would love to move there I live on Long Island now and I'm so sick of it. It costs so much to liver here. Just don't want to do it anymore.

yeah, we usually post in the trip staging area on this forum as well as our forum, which is co4lo.org

Glad you made it! Hope to see you around Boulder

Welcome to Colorado! I think you'll love it here if you are an outdoors type person like myself. Awesome 4-wheeeling with some of the best views to offer while doing so. Take a good camera. That's why it is referred to "God's Country" and "Rocky Mountain High". You'll know what I mean once you experience it.
Well, gotta get prep for a 4 day ski trip to Steamboat....:thumb3:
