Remembering My Runner

It served me well for the 20 miles I put on it.

It had over 200k before I sold it, and just needed a new headgasket.

I didn't have much into it,
Bought it for 3,900$
195k
3" lift
limited
4x4
Bad compressor
1/4 wheel spacers
body lift in a bucket

When I got it I...
-Stripped the carpet
-Hurculined Floor
-removed wheel spacers
-285/75/16
-Installed 3" body lift I had sitting in a bucket.
Then later cut it down to 2" [note steering extension had to be cut down also]
-Painted rims black
-paintd bumpers black
-ripped off limited trim
-painted wheel arches and rockers flat black.

After all this I still got 4,250$ for it with a bad head gasket..

Pictures in her memory.

Haha yeah, there's a lot of us it seems like! I wonder how many people don't even know what a bass clef looks like?

fine example in black

like that black on black look. rims turned out nice.

What year was that Limited please? I am noticing the 4Runner emblem as part of the license plate surround piece and that is a bit distinctive and different.

Haha yea it made moving my ampeg 8x10 easy!

It's a 97.

The headgasket wasn't the reason I sold it. I sold it because I'm addicted to European junk. Got a land rover. Love it and I say it's more capable stock than my runner was. (wheelbase + landrover magic) it oddly enough needs a new head gaskt. Actually these need new ones about every 80k.

In my 3 months of owner ship I have had it, it's acted up on menmany times and left menstranded once, in the middle of a national forest. But it does look sexy sitting on the side of the road.

Also it gets me 13mpg while my runner which was bigger and lifted and 33"s got me 18mpg average.

HAHA oh yea about that.

-Its a more capable vehicle offroad, when its not over heating. As I said it has gotten me places my 4runner with 6" of lift and 33" tires wouldn't go. And thats stock with sagging suspension and 235/70/16s

-I have a thing for european vehicles, and all there evil knomes with british accents. Theres just something about them. I love it.

-Looks sweet, in my opinion.
