Thanks, RL - I've seen those, but I was looking for T4R-specific installs. I searched the board, but only found installs for units like the Valentine that have the sensor in the cabin and a remote display. I'm looking at something like the Whistler PRO:

Check out RMR. Not only do they detect, they also scramble the signal. I had one, still have it, but put it up after the lady came along. I never got a ticket with it. Great product!

Might want to check this site out before you buy any radar detectors. http://www.radarbusters.com/support/product-tests/default.asp they also say that radar jammers don't work.

It's not an active jammer, but a scrambler. It messes with the incoming radar and sends back messed up signal. If I'm going 45 the radar gun coupld read 115 one second, and 15 the next . I've seen cops hitting their radar guns as I drive by. Keep in mind, the radar will eventually break through the false signal and get a good reading. The bigger the vehicle the easier it is for the radar gun to get a good signal (4R will scramble good to about 150' of the radar gun).

Remote Radar Install
I recently installed the Belltronics 975r in my 2003 T4R SR5. It was a breeze and the system works great (1.5 to 3 mile warnings)!
It comes with a remote mounted multi-band antenna that I mounted behind the grill and two laser sensors (front/rear). The unit sells for $350 to $500 depending how well you can search for online deals. Rarely you can find one on eBay.
If you decide to buy the Belltronic unit, let me know and I'll guide you step by step through the install with digital photos and everything. I'm rather proud of this install. Check this out, I mounted the display unit inside the cubby hole that opens up at a 60 degree angle directly below the climate controls. Push the door closed and no one even knows it's there; push it open and it's at the perfect position for the driver to see and hear.

I did consider an alternate location to mount the control unit. My alternate choice was inside the 12vdc power compartment. I'll get some pics of my install in the near future as soon as I'm able to borrow my daughter's digital camera.
Keep in mind that the control unit is only 3" Wide, 2" deep, and 0.6" high. I mounted mine with adhesive velcro. The radar antenna is the largest and heaviest of the four components. The two laser detectors are about the size of a thick domino.

Once you detect laser.. you're hooped anyways. At least here in Calgary you are. Police turn it on when they need to and shoot it right at your car. Detecting it would only affirm you're getting pulled over (if you were speeding).
Laser jammers aren't illegal here either.. except that you should turn off if the police should decide to pull you over because of the error reading he's getting. (lots of cars get an error reading should it wouldn't matter)
