Remote Start + Factory Security = ???

I have an Avital 4103LX remote start unit that I had left over from a failed project from before my 4Runner. I'd like to install it in my 2000 Limited, but it has the factory security system with remote keyless entry on it. I checked the archives, but I didn't see any information one way or the other as to whether I needed to get a bypass module for the TSS system or if it could simply be installed in a straightforward fashion, as with an older car. Anyone have any information on this? Also any 4Runner-specific tips for fitting a remote start would be appreciated - I already have the wiring charts for what wires do what and where to hook up, but in my experience that's not always enough info. Thanks.
