I recently purchased a 2002 4Runner with a RS3200 Security system. The previous owner had a remote, but it didn't work. I contacted the selling dealership to verify which alarm system was installed. They confirmed it is the RS3200 plus. I purchased a remote from a dealer with the FCC code D-BAB237131-056, stating that this is the correct remote. I have tried all the various programming steps for the RS3200 but the system does not recognize the remote. When programming, the system responds by locking and unlocking 2 times, but there is no audible chirp or flashing lights. The alarm does work when tested by locking the door with the window down and then unlocking and opening the door. I really don't want to take it to the dealer and I have not found an alarm company that will work on the unit. Also does anyone know the location of the control unit? Thankyou in advance for your help. I searched the threads here but didn't find anything that could help...but then again there is a lot of info here.
