On my '06 4runner, in the back trunk area, there is an extra 'shelf' that can fold up for extra storage options. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of this feature since one of the main reasons I bought a 4runner was so my dog can hang out in the back and look out the rear window. With carpet there I can tell it will tend to stain and acquire more of a 'dog smell' throughout the car. I was wanting to replace the original carpet mat with a tougher material. How can I remove this extra folding shelf I have no desire for?
