Remove JBL subwoofer step by step

I am replacing a defective JBL subwoofer in my 2004 4Runner. Some time ago I saw some detailed instructions on the removal of all the interior trim in order to get to the sub. I can't find it now.

Does anyone know where I can get this information?

Just wondering, did you figure out exactly what the problem with your subwoofer was? I have the same low output problems as with other owners, but some say its the amp, and some say its the sub.
 
JBL update

The dealer replaced the JBL amplifier in the rear quarter panel. I have an extended warranty that covered it. The stereo sounds GREAT now! Probably better than when we bought the 4Runner new. The speakers are now balanced with the front speakers and the stock sub is very strong now.

Thank you for this great info! I purchased an OEM JBL amp and sub on ebay for $35 to replace my blown one and was able to install the new one in a couple of hours. The replacement amp is newer and also solved my problem of the almost nonexistent sounding rear speakers.
 
I am planning on adding a sub and using the factory enclosure. I currently have the six speaker system but I have already purchased a Pioneer 4300dvd head unit and I will get my hi and mids shortly. What is would like to know is what size sub does the factory box take and what would be a good substitute? I would also like to hear any pros/cons to adding the factory sub box. I will also be adding the necessary 5 channel amp
