Remove Ladder

Has anyone removed a ladder? I have a Bajarack ladder that was installed for a few years and I want to remove it. How much of a pain would it be to remove the double sided tape used for mounting? If I were to guess, it’s probably been on for at least 6 years.

You could use a heat gun or a hairdryer to gently warm up the tape, which can make it easier to peel off. Or, try adhesive removers to dissolve the bond without harming the surface.

dilute some IPA with water in a spray bottle. spray one edge/corner. use a heat gun to heat up the tape. patience. get underneath the tape and pull with steady pressure. don't yank. as you pull, use the spray and heat gun and take your time

if you're struggling still then use pure IPA and don't dilute. wax the area when done. IPA loosens the glue and makes it easy to rub off or peel

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the tape. This will soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove. Be careful not to heat the paint or surface underneath.among us

Do you have a certain IPA you recommend? If its really hoppy does it release the glue easier? I like Thirsty Goat IPA.

when i remove decals from cars i use a heat gun + adhesive remover (soaking) and then dental floss (in the case of a ladder with much stronger adhesive maybe some super strong fishing line (20lb mono).

If you can break the connection from the ladder to the car but it leaves leftover residue thats what you want. Patience, heat and residue remover to finish what remains.

I have rapid remover for when i had to remove snowmobile decals and stuff worked really good (have to let it soak for a couple mins and keep the gunk "wet")
