welcome to the jungle!

I think it looks good, I think i'm going to ditch mine, I don't like the look of the flat running boards i have. Plus I'm always rubbing my white sneaks or pants on them

what kind of lift do you have?

looks good!
I might well take mine off (though I'm going to wait 'til my warranty is up - never know what might break :) )

Your tires are pretty cool too - what sort are they? (forgive my tire ignorance, I'm a newbie).

Wow your Truck looks great without them. I happen to like mine but that does look good. The boards you removed were they lighted? If so Interested in selling them.... :) What brand of tire is that?
Thanks Andy

He has an SR5, so I doubt they are lighted boards.

I have thought about taking my boards of, but I do kinda like the protection the give the paint and body work on the doors. :)

El Jefe, I have the lighted running boards off mine, let me know if you are interested.

My 4runner looks just like yours same color and everything except I have BFG all terrains. I had my running boards off for a while but all the rocks being thrown on the rockers and door bottoms has really chiped the paint. It also made it harder too wash the roof without something to stand on. I only take them off now if I am going on harder off road trails. If all you care about is looks then leave them off.

aloha, i just took mine off today and agree, it looks better, heck it even looks raised a tad even though its not.

I too have thought about removing mine, but I think I'm going to wait till the Toytec 3in lift and tires go on mine this summer. Then, they're off like a prom dress! :guitar3:

Question for those who have removed them: What is involved? Sounds like it is not a big deal - I would appreciate any comments.

Thanks.

Remove a few bolts and they practically fall off. Just climb under there and look, it's pretty self explanatory.

I left mine on for the longest time because of the possibility of chips and denting due to offroad but i took mine off this week. How long did it take before you saw some chipping? Im hoping the sliders I have fabed will provide not only offroad protection but on road from flying debris as well.

looks good!
i wanna find a place to order some of the side nerf bars the sport editions have. anyone know where i could get a set?
