Removed tranny and now I have a terrible knock

So I pulled my auto transmission on my '2000 4runner to replace the rear main seal. After getting everything all back together it starts and runs fine, but when driving it, if I push the gas down half way to accelerate, I get a terrible valve clatter noise.

I only drove it about 3 blocks, and when I got home it had a CEL before I shut it off. Any ideas before I scan for a code?

Did you line the teeth up with the tranny just right? I hear that's a issue.

Is everything put back correctly? It sounds like your describing detonation which would explain the codes and the noise.

Air intake broken from motor moving while doing work?

Teeth?? It's an automatic, not quite sure what you're referring to.

Maybe he means where the TC meets the flexplate?

I never separated the torque converter from the transmission. Where are there teeth where the two interface?

Also, I just scanned the code and it's a p0710- Trans temp sensor circuit malfunction. Anyone know where that sensor is located?
