removing 04 running boards

I know I read some where on this site a post on thinking of removing factory installed r/boards on an 04. I had just thought the same thing. I never made any notation of the poster. Help did you do it, was it worth it, gotten any pics?

Extremely easy to take off, a couple of bolts I think. I believe 4route is one member who has removed her running boards. You could search to see pic's of her truck.

i removed mine about a month ago. becareful in not stripping the bolts. i managed to strip two of them so i ended up driving around with one running board still attached for a while.

VERY easy to do. just use a rachet/socket with a short extension, if needed. there are a total of 6 bolts per side and (if you have a limited) unplug the connector for the lights on each side.

I removed mine pretty much as soon as I got home from the dealer on this one....much nicer! take a look at pics in my signature...
