How do you disconnect the wiring to take the doors off?

Also, is there fuse I should pull to turn of the door buzzer and dome light?

I knew all this for my jeep but now I start over with my 88 4runner.

The buzzer has a switch inside the fender. If you take out the plastic piece by your feet just inside your door, you can access where the plug is. Just unplug it. Thats what I did.

For the wiring, I think you have to cut the wiring and then make your own harness. Not 100% on that, my runner didn't have power anything.

Go to Pirate4x4 and look under the toyota 4runner section in the FAQ. They have some really good write-ups on how to take your doors off.

How to do you plan on making the hinge work?

You'll have to cut the wiring and install some connectors yourself.
I used the 4 pin trailer connectors.

You can also modify the hinges to make it easy to swap doors.

For the door buzzer, just disconnect/remove the switch in the doorjamb.

sweet - thanks for the info.

For easy removal I was planning to cut the door pins and replace it with a longer similar size pin/bolt and use cotter pin to keep it in place.

I wish I didn't have to cut the wires. I am surprised there isn't a connector somewhere I can pull.

If cut I must - will do.

Is it confirmed that if we (royal) want to remove our doors, and have power locks/windows, we have to cut the harness and add connectors? Searched around and I can't get a consise yes pull the connectors and push throught hole or cut and splice.

Anyone chime in if they have? Did you use spade connectors? Best method?

Electrical is my weakest area so any details are a huge help

Yes, count number of existing wires that go between body and door, and find connector to accommodate that.

Look at newer Heep Wranglers. Run your flex/harness/connector same way. See 4:21 mark here.
Make sure harness is long enough to allow full opening.

For the door buzzer, just disconnect/remove the switch in the doorjamb.

There are plugs behind the dash. You don't HAVE to cut the wires and add plugs, but the ones behind the dash are a real PITA to get to.
