Can somone help me out with directions on how to remove the factory head unit in my 2008 4Runner. I purchased the optional Ipod connection cable and need to connect it to the back of the unit. I'm not sure where to start with the plastic trip around the dashboard and don't want to break anything in the process. If you could send some type of directions on where to start, it would be great.

http://www.castulucci.com/projects/carpc/oemnaviaccess/ This is what you need. This should have been a sticky a long time ago in Audio & Electronics but I don't know how to do it. Basic information for HU removal.

When you take apart the dash to get to the HU be sure to allow plenty of time... it's relatively straightforward but you might find some panels need a bit of coaxing to get off and back on again.

When you do get the Urban Runner's radio out, Take some pictures if you're able. I'm sure there are quite a few people on here that would be interested in seeing some pictures of the connectors and the receptacles on the back of the radio.

I know this is an old thread, but I just purchased a used 2008 Urban Runner. It has an aftermarket radio already. The radio reception is OK, so I wanted to make sure they installed the antennas correctly to the unit. It seems there is only a single antenna lead, Has anyone else found the same on other Urban Runners?
