removing old sway bar links

so i got my new sway bar links but when i got under the car to install them, I couldnt get the old ones off! i doused them with pb blaster, let them sit, and then the alan bolt stripped. any suggestions? one more try then im gonna pay someone to do it.

The other side of the bolt is a round shaped head, but it does have flat sides to it, so that you can use a wrench on it. I believe it's a 14mm? Someone chime in if they know for sure. I just used the allen wrench when I did it, and both came off pretty easy.

I had to replace mine after one broke on a little outing.
I live in the rust belt so it was no walk in the park either.
When I tried to remove the rest of the end link from the sway bar it just ended up breaking off.
When I tried to remove it from the lower A-arm, I stripped the allen wrench and when I tired using the other sided with the nut, the boot cut ad leaked grease everywhere.
At that point I said screw it, took a hack saw and cut the damn thing off.
Now my wab-fab quick disconnects are in and I am set to go.

So my suggestion to you, do give yourself more of a headache and just cut the damn thing off.

well i just took them to a shop and they took off the old ones and put on the new, they did have to cut them off, they only charged me 35 bucks though so im not complaining.
