Removing rear spoiler?

How do I remove my spoiler? Will there be a brake light underneath? or is the trunk door built with the knowledge that the spoiler be attached? I personally think the 4Runner (and for that matter, the GX470) looks better without the rear spoiler. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks a lot!

Without knowing if you have the OEM or the port installed spoiler... if you look at the hatch door above the glass, you should be able to see if there is a third brake light present.

There will be holes to fill if the spoiler is removed. There are instructions posted somewhere in the forum as I recall two rivet nuts that need to be drilled out and reinstalled for spoiler reinstallation after removal.
