Removing Rear Tow Hook?

Anyone ever removed the rear tow hook/loop underneath the driver side rear bumper? I made an attempt today to do this but it's on there pretty tight. Suggestions? I'm removing it to install something I just got in the mail to be posted when the installation is complete.

I've removed it to install me rear T&H guard. I had to use my friend's impact wrench with his air compressor. It was impossible to get it loose by hand.

Use a pipe or something to leverage the bolt. They're on there pretty tight but easy to remove with a bit of umph.

So I tried using something to leverage the bolts and it was a no go. After becoming completely frustrated, I decided to take a run to Pepboys to see if there was anything there I could use. Let me say that trip was worth it. I picked up a new GoodYear Cordless Impact Wrench, charged it over night, and got to work on it this morning. The bolts came off with no problems!!!!
